Faz já alguns anos que o Professor Luís Guido, da Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, passou por Boassas. Na página que publicou então na internet, teceu sobre Boassas e a Casa do Lódão o seguinte comentário:"Casa do Lódão is a Country House which belongs to an old farm located in Boassas (Quinta do Outeiro - Boassas, Cinfães) and combines the rustic atmosphere with a modern architecture and interior design. Boassas is a small historical village, which is considered the second most typical Portuguese village. The involving landscape of the Valley of the River Douro (on the left), with its characteristic terraced vineyards offering unforgettable views, is now declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO."
